Bosnian developer interested in expanding my knowledge and developing my skills through new opportunities.
As a bachelor of computer and information technologies, I learned HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Xamarin, that later sparked my interest in pursuit of other development tools such as Webflow, which has kept me dedicated to making websites easier for everyone.
At University, I studied Microsoft SQL as well as databases in general, and received the highest possible grade in that subject.
During internships in companies, I learned how to use virtual machines and the active directory.
I began learning more about Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD when I had a brief opportunity to work on projects of this type, where I had to match models from 3ds Max with real images and show the differences.
In February 2023 I participated in Ankora hackathon. Each group had 4 members, 2 of which were Ankora engineers.
The general topic was boosting productivity with NLP AI Tools, main goal being to maximize the use of ChatGPT.
During a brief sit-down, we decided that our topic should be Meal mate, a web application that will help everyone make a meal. We combined our knowledge and skills with the AI API we received, and created a web app that can give you an entire weekly or monthly meal plan, all according to your preferences, allergies, diets etc.
What is specific is that there is also the possibility to choose the ingredients that you have in your kitchen, and this application will give you the exact meal that can be made with them and the recipe, without additional ingredients that you may not have.
Despite securing the 2nd position, I never had the sense of being a loser. From the moment the Hackathon began, I felt like a winner, and I believe that everyone outside of Ankora could feel the same way, because the main victory and prize is the incredible number of new things that we have learned in just two days of work.
In the fall of 2023, I got the opportunity to join a team as a QA intern for three months, even though I had no experience until then.
Being on the "opposite" side of what I was used to was new and exciting, and it provided me with a whole different perspective on things. It is a huge responsibility to be the one who authorizes something and has to carefully and thoroughly analyze everything before deciding whether something is good.
My work was mostly limited to manual testing, where I had the opportunity to test all types of web apps as well as almost all iOS and Android devices, however my mentor showed me the fundamentals of automated testing.
I wrote, implemented, and documented test cases and scenarios. I had fantastic interactions with the other members of the teams I was in; it was easy for me to adjust to the new atmosphere, and our work was efficient and high quality. All of this, together with my personal education and learning, has brought me to the realization that I genuinely enjoy testing and have a strong desire to continue working with it and eventually become a quality assurance engineer.
